What causes abnormal motor speed?

This may be caused by variations in the power supply frequency, insufficient voltage, incorrect winding connections, broken rotor bars, or excessive mechanical resistance. The power supply parameters should be checked, the wiring configuration verified as correct, the rotor condition inspected, and any mechanical binding eliminated.

What are the effects of low insulation resistance in an electric motor?

Low insulation resistance can lead to leakage current, short circuits, and even motor burnout. The windings should be dried promptly, inspected for moisture or insulation aging, and subjected to an insulation test; if necessary, the windings should be rewound.

What should be done if the motor is difficult to start or has a high inrush current?

Check whether the starting method (direct start or reduced-voltage start) is appropriate, whether the start capacitor is functioning properly, and whether the motor load is excessive. If necessary, switch to a suitable starting method or repair or replace the starting components.
